Due to Gavin’s cancer the first half of the year we stayed local. We had no choice. But he is getting stronger everyday and now his wounds are scars and healing we are finally in a place to start thinking about the future.so now that we still have a future together we have just booked some holidays.
Gavin bought me a flight to Seychelles so I get to see my dad for two weeks and I can’t wait!
Gavin can relax, read books, swim in the beautiful ocean and we can go fishing and eat what we catch. Generally we are not beach people but Seychelles is home to us so we can do what we want and explore where we like.

It will be relaxing for him and me. I can’t decide how many books to take? I am thinking 4…. Is that too few or too many. I have a few books in my phone so I won’t run out.
And then we have Christmas. I have run out of holiday because we are going back to Seychelles in February, to celebrate 3 birthdays out there. So I get to relax all over again, taking even more books with me.
Then next year we also have some birthday trips to Vegas! Yes plural, trips, so I need to get in shape. Vegas is somewhere I have always wanted to go, the first trip is a traditional vegas holiday and the second trip is another amazing road trip.
Because we haven’t been away we have the budget for all these trips but I am going to have to save like crazy. So we can experience all the wonderful places and food!

Vegas has been on my bucket list to go for years so I am glad we get to finally tick that off. We will be having an American Christmas is Salt Lake City which is going to be incredible! I can wait to eat sugar cookies, see all the Christmas wreaths and live out my perfect hallmark Christmas dream.
So 4 big trips in the next year, Gavin
will try and squeeze in a ski trip as well before he goes back to work but there is no rush.
Que sera sera
So that’s all our holidays so far, we have a weekend away in York for our wedding anniversary which will be splendid as Yorkshire is maybe my favourite place in Britain, and Gavin is going to a mini stag do in Berlin.
That’s so much I can’t even get my head around it!
We know we are lucky to be able to afford these trips but we work hard and it’s been a tough year.
So tell the people you love, you love them and check your stool it may save your life.
