It’s begun.
It’s all systems go. The house renovations have become a reality. We had a local electrician give us a quote we were happy with. The movers have been booked so we empty the house and get a fresh start. The movers and packers are going to tackle it all. The loft, the bedrooms. We will have a kitchen bathroom, dining table and chairs, a sofa tv and blow up beds.
That’s about it.
We may have a basic empty Christmas house but it means when we put everything back it will hopefully go into its final place. There is still so much to organise. Hopefully I can show some photos of the potential of the house with the bare minimum it.
We have had quotes back from the crittall company and I still need to talk to the windows people. To get that installed so that we can get the bathroom done. The bathroom is too small to fit everything in but big enough to have a massive shower. So the plan is we create a beautiful green tiled box which is our shower, which means replacing the window with a 90cm width rather than a 130cm width. Below is my inspo it’s the wrong green and tile but I love that it’s a solid block of tile and colour. Just have to convince Gavin with will look incredible.

We both love and have agreed on light switches, which sounds insane but you have to consider these things. We need to order them before the electricians come in two weeks, so my evenings are filled with chasing quote, signing paper work and packing the house up.

We don’t really care about plug sockets as they won’t be seen. The lights we own are being rewired so I may need to get new cord for the lights we have.
Renovating is just constant lists and I did download Sheets app so I have an excel style sheet on my so I can keep a record of everything.
The more we clear, the more we think about jobs that need doing, boarding out the loft, a new loft ladder, getting a chimney sweep and installing a log burner. Switching off the gas, moving the boiler!
So much to do and so little time.
That was a bit of a brain splurge but it’s all systems go!
