Of course I am superstitious but only in a good way

Are you superstitious?

I believe in karma, I believe in Mother Nature , in Physics and Science.

I don’t believe in fate.

I worked in a shop that sold mirrors and after breaking my third I realised that bad luck was a silly superstition that didn’t hold any power, not with me. By the time I left it was at least 7 mirrors I accidentally broke and have continued to break a few more in my years.

I do say “Morning Major”to every lone magpie I see.i guess it was for good luck but I do think it is more about politeness and being an army brat.

I don’t think a black cat crossing my path is unlucky, I love cats, black ones especially, I would prefer that they all cross my path and give me a cuddle. There cannot be anything harmful or malicious in a cat, unless you deserve it, ha ha.

I never walk under ladders, nor scaffolding but that’s common sense, no? There maybe someone on top of the ladder or a tool that is about to drop on my head. My granny feared coconuts, I fear what’s at the top of ladders.

I touch wood for luck.

Wish on stars and coins in a fountain.

Believe when one door closes a window opens.

Bless strangers when they sneeze.

Toss spilt salt over my left shoulder and say break a leg in the theatre.

Like I said, I am superstitious in a good way, I don’t really believe in bad luck but I don’t bring it in to my home.

I manifest and practice gratitude daily ( or at least try) and I am pretty sure that these modern words are just spells. Spells of good intent and nature.

Practical Magic quote on Etsy

I will be planting rosemary by my garden gate, I have lots of lavender already.

I think there is no harm in putting positivity into the universe.

So the question is, are you?

Tell the people you love, you love them, and check your stool, it may save your life.
