Gardening: a space to lose my daily stresses

What activities do you lose yourself in?

Gardening has meant a lot to me. Today I checked on my seedlings and I have sweet peas, peas, marigolds and grandiflora candy tufts growing.

There is something about seeds, dirt and growth. Something about watching nature grow.

Escaping in the garden for minutes and hours.

A place I can lose myself in.

Can you see it!

I have a lot of garden to play with.

Sometimes it’s completely overwhelming.

Sometimes it’s heavenly peace and time flies.

I live in a town but when I am in the garden I am surrounded by nature, trees filled with birds and insects. Foxes behind sheds, neighbours cats swirling round my ankles.

I have finally been making some decisions about the allotment, how I am going to plant it and now I am starting to plan the back garden. Which is going to take a lot of time, energy and Monday.

This weekend I need to do some tidying, tree pruning and seed sowing.

I can’t wait.

Gardening is definitely an activity I lose myself and find myself in.
