Less work and more play

What do you wish you could do more every day?

Isn’t that what everyone wants. Less work and more play. More enjoyable moments, but life is tough at the moment, this recession is clawing at our finances deeply.

So I can’t afford to work less. I would love a 3 day weekend or a four day work week broken up.

But my true wish is that I just spent more time creating. Being focused enough to sit down with my sketch book and draw. I just don’t. I read, garden spend time with my husband, walk the dog, cook dinner watch tv, practice gratitude, write my blog, then head to bed.

I already try and squeeze in as much as I can.

After I cooked lunch yesterday, I watered my seedlings and sowed some Erigeron seeds I hope to plant all over my garden.

I spent my evening painting an abstract painting for my sister in law, which is proving to be much harder than I thought it would be but I am almost finished.

I finished Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarras which I loved and can’t wait for books 3 4 and 5. I am playing duolingo with my niece in New Zealand so I spent a few minutes doing that.

When I was younger I dreamed of being a painter… but I just don’t draw or paint at all.

So I like my wish, I do wish I could spend more time being creative and have money to complete my allotment.

What do you wish for?
