How to make a house a home

Which aspects do you think makes a home unique?

My sister in law just had a house warming and she has done it up so lovely, warm beiges, wooden floors and lots of panelling and wallpaper , lots of marble, gold and white in the bathrooms it’s feels new, fresh bougie even.

So what makes a home unique.

Your home should be personal to you, no matter what you want, no matter your taste. We are a world of over sharing and letting peoples criticisms into our homes. Which is crazy, because we don’t know them, don’t care about them and will never see into their homes.

What makes a home unique is you, nothing else.

My sister In Law has only just moved in, so she will be filling it with things she has collected now that she is living in the house.

Me and Gavin have been together for 15 years! We have lived together for 11. Weeks know each others tastes and we also appreciate each other’s uniqueness. We have collected art, furniture over the years knowing how things work together. Our home will always be eclectic, never matchy. The art on our walls be from everything we love.

Mixing the old with the new.

I don’t care if it’s not your taste and you shouldn’t either.

What makes its unique is the way you create a space you want to live in, a sacred space just for you not the world.
