Our friends live to drive and explore America, so before Trump got in we decided to spend the new year in Seattle driving up from San Francisco along the beautiful coast!

First night was stayed in a Super 8 in Fortuna. It was a comfy bed! We put our suitcases down and headed straight out to the Eeling brewery and sampled many of there great beers!

We wanted to see the redwoods and this particular forest was where Endor was filmed in Star Wars.

It was completely magnificent and we loved it. We basically had the whole place to ourselves and spent hours walking around.

It was so quiet here, because it was winter there was no wildlife we could hear. It’s a place was a wonderful mindful place you could disappear into!
