When do you choose not to finish?

When do you DNF ?

I am reading a book at the moments and it’s work. Lots of people, lots of information and I am not really enjoying it, it’s not bad, it’s just not captivating and I am in 100 pages.

25% of the book is finished but I am not pleased with it.

I just finished Ava Reid Lady Macbeth and loved it. Read in a few days and escaped into this different world of Shakespeare. I am a vibe reader so if I am captivated then I love it. It doesn’t have to be a masterpiece but I want to be engaged. I want to love the characters.

Blind date with a book

I read 6 amazing books last month and 6 duds but am I wasting my time, when should DNF?

I gave up on Piranese and everyone told me it amazing and beautiful so it’s back in my shelf to be read again, I got half way through!

Am I giving up to easily?

Or should I slog through and form a better opinion. I selected this book should I not just try? To finish it? Or should I spend my time on a different book?

We gave up on both our builders and feel better for it, yes we lost money but the lack of stress was definitely not worth clinging on to. I can dnf in other things.

So why can’t I let go of this book?

Maybe I should give it another 50 pages and see how you feel.
