This is a tricky book to talk about. It’s about relationships between a daughter and her mother and the hunger for human flesh.
Was it good yes, did I enjoy it no. It was body horror and written so well that the descriptions of them eating made my stomach turn.
At one point I was rooting for Margot and the next you are reminded about what she does.
The book is very open about Center if around canabalism, set in our very world.
At one point Eden, starts investing a plot line and then is disappears into the ether, and that may have captivated me more but it didn’t.
This book is great, but only read it if you like body horror and stories of this ilk.
Otherwise, stay clear.
