It’s been a tough year. A lot harder for a lot of people. I have have zero energy and zero motivation which is sad because this is my favourite to line of year. I love Christmas.
Just not this year.
We are in tier4 which means we are basically in lockdown again. This was announced 6 days before Christmas. and yes it could be worse but the state of the county is appalling.
I failed in keeping up the Christmas spirit.
No tree.
Few decorations.
No Christmas cards.
Today felt festive.
We took frank for a lovely walk in his elf costume. Went to the supermarket to get some last minute bits and then got a nice Starbucks hot chocolate.
Nice simple and just us 3. It felt a little slice of Christmas heaven.
When we got home we popped on a Christmas movie and sat down and wrapped up the Christmas presents. It is one of my favourite things to do.
I bought this wrapping paper last year and I just love all the soldiers with the black ribbon.
I am pretty quick and neat when it comes to my wrapping. Then we followed with some nice rustic cheese and bread another Christmas movies, hot chocolate and lots of cuddles.
Tomorrow is Christmas Day and I can’t wait for the relaxing and food!
