Birthday thoughts

Live for you.

Firstly I thought I was a year older than I was, so this year I gained a year which is great. I am pretty sure when you are over 40 it doesn’t really matter anymore.

My husband was away. So I had the whole house to myself for a week. He was trying to get me to meet all my friends in town go for a nice meal and drinks, like we would normally do. But I didn’t want to. I would have enjoyed it but I also would have only spent a small amount of time with each of them.

All I wanted to relax and chat with friends so I invited two over. We went to a garden centre, and had lunch. No plants this time of year although my house is full of bulbs that need to go out.

We came back home lit the fire, put on some food, we watched old movies, got into our PJs and just talked. It was perfect. A grown up slumber party with lots of good food and wine. it was simple and perfect.

It’s easy to forget how much life and stress our friends go through that they don’t share, they just cope.

It was good to catch up without interruptions from our partners.

I was spoiled rotten with flowers, wine and my favourite cakes but my favourite thing was the two of them.

Time is the one thing we are limited by. So spend all your precious moments with the ones you love.

My birthday thoughts are live for you. And check your stool it may save your life.
