Leaving the house for the first time since lockdown

We have taken our lockdown seriously and haven’t left our house unless for a walk or to pick up the shopping.

That’s pretty much it.

But we had to get out, we needed to rejoin society and thought a weekend with family would be good.

I thought I would be a bit more anxious but I was fine.

Being in a group was lovely as we felt connected. We social distanced but everything was fine.

Long walks helped clear all the cobwebs of doubt away. There is something about the sea air and the lapping water.

It is what we needed. To help us readjust and not get stuck in the rut of isolating. I think it’s easy to start to fear going outside. To worry about other kook.

Leaving the house for the first time since lockdown was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I have an art class in a few weeks so it was good practice. I will have to get use a train but that will be fine.

I feel prepared.

How are you coping with the new normal? Have you visited anywhere yet?
