I love love loved my bouquet.
It really was the most exceptional bouquet I have ever seen. I didn’t think it would be more perfect but mine and the bridesmaids were beyond gorgeous! I wanted a wildflower look full of my favourite flowers.
This picture was taken 3 days after the wedding and still look amazing.
It contains
- Freesias
- Dahlias
- Wax flowers
- Dahlias
- Blue delphiniums
- Scabias
- Wax flower
- Veronica
- Tanacetum
- Clematis
- crocosmia
They looked and smelled amazing!
Freesias just have the purest happiest scent plus they are my mother and mother in laws favourite flower so they were personal as well.
I honestly had no idea what to do with afterwards I hadn’t thought about keeping them. When our guests were leaving my friend Nina suggested I press them, such a good idea and I hadn’t really thought about it. But I saw some cool glass frames in Aldi I bought them.
I made sure my flowers were dry and then I pressed them. I used the frames and added some weight on top. I also put a little sachet of silica packets that come with everything to help dry out any moisture trapped in there. One of the flowers did get a bit mouldy so I took it out and added an extra packet of silica to my frame.
Some of the flowers faded and some came out beautifully. I have had them framed for two years now and I love them.
It’s our anniversary in a few days so I thought I would share them with you.
