Mini update: I just don’t know what to do with myself!

Did you sing it too? Well that’s how I feel at the moment.

It’s a bit awkward.

I don’t know what to do with the rest of my life I just know what I don’t want to do. There is a lot of unemployment at the moment so it maybe tough time to start a new job. We have some savings so there is no immediate rush for me to work except for the fact I may go mad with boredom.

I sat down and wrote a list of jobs I wanted to do on the house and most of it included painting and freshening up the house.

Painting it all white

I am planning on painting most of the cappuccino walls white to brighten up the place. I am also obsessed with doing up the kitchen and bathroom but that will take a lot of planning and convincing Gavin because I would like to go all out in both rooms.

I bought some Dulux paint so I think I will clean and tackle the bathroom first. It’s a bright room so it can take a nice bright white! I will clean the ceiling first, then the windows and then the walls. Then it’s paint time.

Then I will think about what I want for that room. I think a nice white room with the wooden floors shelves and black and white tiles, perfect.

Planning and money

This doesn’t mean spending a lot of Money, the whole point of planning is that you save money. It’s not about buying everything new although we do need a few bits. I am going to love planning it.

Also if we time it right we can get better quality products in the sale by not rushing it.

I feel like my lockdown is happening when England is opening back up. But we are taking it easy, we are still limiting our contact with people. Yes we would love to go out into the world but we still feel it is being rushed. That our health and safety doesn’t appear to be a priority.

We will see, I hope I am wrong.

Skincare, looking after my face

My skincare is quite elaborate, I banned myself from buying anymore until I use it up. I can’t wait till I get to buy more but I need to use them first.

I have been reading Caroline Hirons book and it’s taught me so much already. Double cleansing every night has already improved my skin. I did buy some face flannels from John Lewis but I see that as an investment rather than another splurge.

I am also going to use up some of the products that Caroline doesn’t recommend because I like them and I can’t afford to waste them. Plus I am trying to reduce my waste full stop.

Crazy Plant Lady

Oh yes it’s definitely gardening time. I have planted some seeds and I have more seeds on the way. Some of my work plants haven’t liked the move and are in a bit of a poor state. So they are having a bit of tender care at the moment.

I can’t sneak any more plants in the house but Gav doesn’t have a problem with me trying to grow my own.

We will see! My garden is being looked after a bit better I get up at normal time and water it with all this sunshine we are having, it’s very thirsty!

I am growing tomatoes and planning out some healthier meals to help as loose a wee bit of weight.

Round up

So that’s it, it pretty similar to what I was planning during lockdown but I just didn’t have the paint nor the time.

I have to keep busy as I really don’t know what to do with myself.

My main focus is on my home, my family, my belly and my skincare.

I really hope you are all safe and healthy.
